About the Artist: Born in East Los Angeles, David Solomon graduated from Art Center College of Design with a degree in Industrial Design. After a career as a product and architectural designer, he decided to focus on fine art. Solomon's painting "Corner Light," depicting an East L.A. neighborhood store, was honored by the National Watercolor Society with a Purchase Award. The painting was later transferred to the collection of the Smithsonian Institute.

Solomon was a regular exhibitor at the Festival of Arts for 35 years, and was the first artist ever commissioned to create a painting especially for display in the Pageant of the Masters. He has been featured in Who's Who in the West and Who's Who in American Art. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States including the National Academy of Art in New York. David is a signature member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) and participates in their annual events and shows.
